Citizenship
Our Citizenship class is a combination of ELA (English Language Acquisition; formerly “ESL”) and preparation for the U.S. Citizenship exam.
Classes meet one night a week and provide instruction and guidance including:
- United States history
- government
- rights and responsibilities of citizens
- civic participation
- citizenship requirements
- conversational English
- basic English literacy
- practice questions that may be on the test
- writing
- reading
- citizenship interview practice, and
- some work with citizenship applications
